Kia ora,
Today I have been writing about the best time of the year, the holiday. The holidays are so fun and there are do many possibilities
To write a poem the first thing you need to do is choose a topic it can be about yourself, your favourite food or even a place or a season. Once you have chosen your topic you need to think of some word to describe your topic like if it was a dog you might say furry or loyal. Now you can start writing your poem. You could do a limerick, a haiku, an acrostic poem or even a concrete and those are just some types of poems.
Did you know there are over 50 different types of poems, some of these are limerick, a haiku, an acrostic poem and
there are so much more
Hi Irelyn,
It’s Emma here from the Summer Learning Journey.
It’s seems like you are a pro at poetry writing, is this something you would like to do as an adult?
Do you have a favourite type of poem to write? Mine would have to be limericks because I find them so funny and enjoyable to read.
It looks like you have chosen to do an acrostic poem for this one and what a great topic to pick. Have you been doing any of these things over the summer yet? I suppose going ice-skating would be a nice way to escape the heat if you get too hot!
Thanks for sharing Irelyn.
