Monday meals

Today I created a poem inspired by the poem mondays

Monday’s child is fair of face, Tuesday’s child is full of grace,Wednesday’s child is full of woe, Thursday’s child has far to go,Friday’s child is loving and giving, Saturday’s child works hard for his living, And the child that is born on the  dayIs bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

  1. Hi Irelyn,

It’s Emma here from the Summer Learning Journey.

This looks like a fun poem, I do love Monday’s Child. All the different meals sound delicious, I can see you have used some clever alliteration! I wonder if you could step it up by writing something short about each meal to match the way Monday’s child is written? For example, you could say Monday’s Meatloaf is full of flavour, or Tuesdays Taco’s are good to savour!
I would love to see how you could make each day rhyme!

It looks like you might have accidentally skipped Thursday and done Wednesday twice, did you have a different one for Thursday?

    Thanks for sharing Irelyn,

    Emma – SLJ
